2018 Ford F-150 Expands Its Potential With New Looks, More Features, Powerful Engines

If you haven’t heard, the 2018 Ford F-150 is more than just the next model year of America’s favorite pickup. It will also be the most unique, with seven different front end designs, new head and tail lights, and an arsenal of new tech and upgrades. It will also come with a turbodiesel V6 starting next spring.

Unfortunately, we don’t have much to go on as far as the diesel. We do know that the 2018 F-150 will retain class-leading torque and towing from the range-topping twin-turbo V6 that arrived last year. The rest of the engine lineup gets power and transmission updates, with an all-new 3.3-liter V6 serving as base engine. Also on the docket are a new Bang & Olufsen Play sound system, updated Adaptive Cruise Control (it now boasts pedestrian detection and stop/go), and a 4G LTE WiFi hot spot. While the 2018 F-150 will retain 12,200 lbs. max towing, we’re told the turbodiesel will one-up these numbers.
