The Ford Escape is naturally great in fuel efficiency, thanks to its tiny, 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with an auto start-stop system to eliminate idling and a paired eight-speed automatic transmission to smooth shifts. Safety
Safety on the Ford Escape is mainly defined by the Ford Co-Pilot360, which is a suite of driver-assistance technologies. Lane keeping assist steers you back to the intended lane of travel, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking to avoid crashes, and blind spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert to prevent side and cross-traffic collisions. In addition, the headlights automatically switch on the high beams in low-visibility situations and switch them off upon detecting oncoming traffic.
